For many people, life can feel exhausting when there is a constant need to mask, self-edit, or push against a world that doesn’t always support their nervous system or natural way of expressing themselves.

You might be someone who experiences life intensely, feels things deeply and spends a lot of time reflecting. Perhaps you have a rich inner world and notice sensory details others may miss. You might feel overwhelmed by socially demanding or busy environments.

Maybe you have always felt different and have only recently begun to understand why. You may have spent years trying to fit in, only to find yourself becoming disconnected from yourself and your true needs and identity.

More often than not, all of this can contribute to anxiety, burnout, depression or existential exhaustion – not because there is anything 'wrong' with you, but because constantly adapting to environments and social expectations can place a significant strain on our nervous system.

I offer a dedicated space for Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD and Highly Sensitive individuals, as well as for those who do not wish to use labels but recognise that they feel or process things in ways that are not always understood or supported.

Together, we create a counselling space where your unique way of being is welcomed and integrated into our work, rather than overlooked.

While we can explore any concerns that bring you to counselling - whether related to neurodivergence or not- , we will take into account your sensory preferences and the environments that allow you to feel more comfortable (including remote or outdoor sessions when helpful), hopefully creating space to decompress and reflect without the pressure to mask or adapt.

My work is informed by both professional training and lived experience of neurodivergence, offering a deeper understanding of the challenges that can come with navigating a world that does not always account for different ways of being.

Common concerns I can support with

Burnout

When life demands so much of us, it can become difficult to keep up with everything. Over time, this can leave us feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or disconnected from our own needs.

Workplace challenges

Often, neurodivergent adults find workplaces difficult to navigate. Misunderstandings, sensory overwhelm, low motivation or executive functioning challenges can leave you feeling exhausted and questioning yourself. Counselling offers a space to understand these experiences and recognise your own needs.

Identity and belonging

Feeling different from everyone else can be a lonely experience, especially in a society that rewards conformity and normativity. Knowing yourself may be the first step to reconnect with what is important to you and to develop a new relationship with yourself and others.

Anxiety

Anxiety can show up in many different ways: social anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, rumination, or always feeling alert or tense in your body.
We can explore what these responses may be trying to communicate, making sense of why things feel the way they do.
